Karl von Richter is the Burgermeister of Germania as well as one of its main founders. Richter often finds himself at odds with his people, especially those aligned with Erich Wolffe, his “archnemesis”, who advocates for war against the Druden, the Germani’s colletive word for the goblins. Karl is a staunch isolationist, literally severing ties with earth by blockading the portal he came through until it disappeared; he also refuses to enter relations with neighboring nations in fear of their influences over his people. Karl went as far as to destroy all but one of the radios in Germania to curtail Odin’s ideological reach. Despite all this, Karl genuinely cares for his settlement and its people, wishing for the Germani a bright future and new beginning in another world.
