Jonathan Lemieux is an American paranormal enthusiast and reluctant explorer who initially aspired to be a journalist. His love of ghosts and the supernatural took him across the Atlantic to Cornwall, England where he met Frederick Trengrouse and joined the expedition to the Otherworld. Jonathan was initially captivated by the idea of exploring another world; however, once he realized he was marooned in a dangerous world, his demeanor changed, and he began to focus more on survival and less on discovery.

Despite his curiosity and fascination with strange new things, Jonathan is often cautious and weary of situations that could potentially harm him. In social settings, Jonathan is polite and avoids conflict as much as possible.

Jonathan possesses incredibly sharp spirit senses, which enable him to tell when something is wrong or if a spiritual entity is present; however, the downside to this ability is that he is more susceptible to psychic ploys like his two encounters with Trenemones and Odin’s attempt to psychically influence him in the Adventure Begins.
