Iduna Heimdallsdottir is a priestess of Odin and a citizen of High Uppsala. She has extraordinary spirit senses for a human and a keen intellect fostered by her occupation’s education.

While Iduna was traveling through the mountains with the priest, Vindalf, to meet her perspective marriage partner Ragnar, the two were abducted by rogue anti-Odin traditionalists and sold to Germania as slaves. Ragnar immediately assembled a party of close friends and warriors to rescue his potential fiancé; however, they lacked knowledge of the Germani’s advanced weapons and were almost immediately beaten and captured, joining Iduna in servitude for the Germani for several months. Iduna did not initially escape with the Norsemen and explorers, so Jonathan volunteered to go back and rescue her alone, which he accomplished due to his relationship with Karl von Richter. Iduna then spent two nights in the wilderness with Jonathan, having a particularly close call with a ggollek and its band of goblins.
