Frederick Gwavas Trengrouse is a self-described Cornish parapsychologist and inter-dimensional explorer. Frederick has a strong fascination with the paranormal, notably the Otherworld, with which he has a deep personal connection due to fantastic stories he heard at an early age from his great-grandmother about her father. Frederick spent the better part of his life getting an education in parapsychology and studying the portal mentioned in the stories, all in the hopes of following in his ancestor’s footsteps.

Frederick is highly intelligent and gifted scientifically, linguistically, and artistically. He speaks several languages to varying degrees, including Cornish, English, Old Norse, Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, and Latin. Frederick loves trivia about science, language, and anthropology; and he especially loves to lecture others about these topics, which is a major cause of annoyance, namely for Jonathan.
